I'm sorry, but all articles about roads like that should carry a (Scotland) or other tag in their name. There are roads called A8 in France and very probably other countries as well. David.Monniaux 09:42, 22 Apr 2004 (UTC)

This article is a bit too wordy for me, which is why I've added the {{essay-entry}} template. See A1 and A66 for good examples of how a roads article should be laid out, and not simply a narrative of all its waypoints, which is not useful for an encyclopedia.
