The A70 road is a major road in Scotland, United Kingdom. It runs a total of 82 miles from Edinburgh to Ayr. It begins at the A8 and ends at a junction with the A719 near the coast. It starts joined on to the A71. After they split up, the A71 heads for Livingston (M8) and the A70 heads for Ayr. It crosses the A720 and heads towars West Lothian and South Lanarkshire. It crosses the M74 and it arrives in Ayr.
