[edit] Request for edit summary

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labelled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

When you leave the edit summary blank, some of your edits could be mistaken for vandalism and may be reverted, so please always briefly summarize your edits, especially when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you.

I'll try. A5 20:56, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
Should I be responding here? Can I add an edit summary retrospectively? A5 20:57, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
Some people will check back on other's talk page for a response, but you can't count on it. Responding on their talkpage makes sure they'll see it. Also you can't change your edit summaries after the fact. No one knows to use them at first, but it's a good habit to get into and is much appreciated by others. — Laura Scudder 21:10, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Two hints

Please don't be dogmatic about the "correct" definition of general linear group. That's not the way Wikipedia should do things; even if it does, all too often. You are running into opposition. That should tell you that there are other traditions, using other textbooks, in the world.

Also, it makes no sense, but you will get more respect if you create your userpage. It doesn't much matter what you put in it, as long as it's not a redlink. Septentrionalis 21:20, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dirty Kuffar

Hello, I don't know why Dirty Kuffar article was deleted. There were more votes against the deletion of article.
