Adoption request

Hi there A.JH.Ou (talk · contribs)! I am Yuser31415 (talk · contribs), and I see you have requested to be adopted. Have a look around my userpage and my talk page; and if you wish to be adopted by myself, then please let me know! Cheers! Yuser31415 07:27, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Why, it is my pleasure to adopt you! That means that if you have any questions, no matter how small, please be bold and let me know! Also, if you agree, I will look at your contributions regularly to see if you're having problems. Cheers! Yuser31415 03:15, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Re: is this vandalism?

The edit appears to be a strong form of a test, but if it continued then yes, it would definitely be considered vandalism. Thanks for reverting it! Cheers! Yuser31415 21:02, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

OK, thanks! I don't think there's a need to tell me if you do obvious vandalism reverts, but be sure to warn the user/s accordingly and contact an admin if that vandalism was posted after the user received a last warning when reverting. You might also want to have a look at the counter-vandalism unit pages. +Hexagon1 (t) 22:35, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

User page template?

Hi, I'm just wondering: did you use a template for your user page (doesn't look like it though)? If so, what is it? I'd like to make my userpage somewhat less sloppy and somewhat more functional/usable. Or, did you "borrow" it from someone else xD? Thanks. --Havocrazy 04:08, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Actually, my userpage is just plain wikitext. As it is markup language similar to HTML, it is possible to specify the layout of a webpage through programming. If you look at the <div style="..."> sections in the source, you can see how various "properties" can be modified to affect orientation. No, I did not completely "borrow" from anyone, but it helps to take a look at any examples illustrating interesting uses of wikitext and see if it can be expanded upon. +A.Ou 06:45, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
I see. Hm, perhaps I'll try to design my own userpage like that one day; thanks for the advice. I might borrow a few pieces of your code, if that's all right with you. And by the way, I have located another Troy editor on here: User:Azntrigboi777, but I don't know who he is yet. --Havocrazy 06:51, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

Your AIV report on Talktechno

Thank you for making a report in respect of Talktechno (talk · contribs · block log) on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators are generally only able to block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize even after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thanks. Sandstein 19:21, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

(My reply)

Ah, sorry, my bad. I thought you meant to block them for their spamming (which would have required a prior warning) rather than for their website-derived username. Anyway, Sasquatch has blocked them now. Sandstein 19:39, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Also, we are close friends and so I let her use my account once, therefore she knows what to do as a User.

Personal attacks and inappropriate comments

Someone keeps putting attacks and inappropriate comments on my user page. What are my options to deal with it?--Wayne Neptune 01:51, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

Fortunately, there are Wikipedians to help you deal with personal attacks. You may want to see Wikipedia:No personal attacks#Recurring attacks for a few options, but I think you want Wikipedia:Requests for comment/User conduct, especially if the user has done nothing but disrupt Wikipedia (which would likely resolve in a ban or block). If you need additional assistance, I'm always here to help. :) +A.0u 02:00, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

Re: Removal of non-free images

I know that non-free images can be used in certain articles. Using a single or album cover to illustrate a living musician (which is the situation on the Jamelia article), however, is not appropriate under Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria. That a free-licensed alternative has not been located, uploaded and added to the article by a Wikipedia or Wikimedia Commons editor does not mean that such an alternative does not exist or could not be easily created; in the case of Jamelia, she is scheduled to make public appearances in the next few weeks. 80.0.72.76 20:14, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.

If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.

P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 15:41, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Assessing Environment Article

Hi,

I have noticed that you have assessed Eutrophication article with GA and high importence. Under many others, this project does not assess the degree of importence to avoid arguments on which one is more important than others. Thanks for your effort though. OhanaUnited 06:00, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

My mistake. And yet, in a way, isn't every article itself important to Wikipedia, from the humble stub to the Featured Article? +A.0u 06:11, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Lord S. Borat isn't as creative as some, but it's nice to picture the rage in some darkened room on the other side of the world when his @*&%$#! gets reverted. Thanks. Wombatcat 02:12, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

Redirect of Nicole Natalie Austin

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Nicole Natalie Austin, by Mschel, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Nicole Natalie Austin is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Nicole Natalie Austin, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Nicole Natalie Austin itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 00:33, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
