A.M. 180

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"A.M. 180" is a single by the American rock group Grandaddy released in 1998. The song features on the album Under the Western Freeway, which was released in 1997. It was originally titled "Rocket Like a Hurricane" before release.

In 2002, "A.M. 180" was featured prominently in the British film 28 Days Later, and is also used as the title music for the BBC Four series Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe. The song has since been used on the television advert for Colin Murray's radio show on BBC Radio 1. Perhaps more bizarrely, the tune was also used in a trailer for Clifford the Big Red Dog when undergoing a run on CBeebies on the BBC in the UK.

In 2007 the track was sampled by Nottingham indie band Story One, on a song also called AM 180. The track can be found on Story One's album The Shadow Line.

Also in 2007, "A.M. 180" was featured on the soundtrack of the independent film, FreeLance.

In 2008 the song was used in the commercial to introduce the Dodge Journey in North America.
