AFC Wimbledon Ladies is the women's football team representing Wimbledon, London. The team competes in the Southern Division of the FA Women's Premier League.
Originally affiliated to Wimbledon F.C., the Ladies club recognised that Wimbledon FC's proposed move to Milton Keynes would represent the end of the club's association with the area of Wimbledon and consequently decided to defect to AFC Wimbledon [1]. The AFC Wimbledon Ladies is now owned by The Dons Trust, which states as one of its aims:

It is thus one of the few Women's Premier League sides not to be affiliated with a club from the male Premiership or Football League.
