[edit] Shirt number
Costacurta wearing no 19 not 5!
Pawz
And Giuseppe Meazza played for both, AC Milan & Inter!
Pawz (11:34, 15 July 2005 UTC)
Costacurta got the no. 5 shirt back when Redondo left two years ago. Mark —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 83.71.47.236 (talk • contribs) 01:59, 21 August 2005 (UTC).
[edit] POV
Isn't a 'Best XI' section inherently POV? (See NPOV). Cursive 20:46, 19 August 2005 (UTC)
- Support for remove of this section. No such POV's should be in encyclopedias. --Monkbel 20:39, 21 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] External links
Isn't the list of external links growing rather too long? This isn't some sort of an advertising space. --Aabha 15:33, 16 November 2005 (UTC)
No! Milan is one of the most important football clubs in the world. This article needs to be enhanced and expanded and then there will be capacity for even more links. --Kane december 05

[edit] Transfers 06/07
There isn't any official data that Valerio Fiori is retiring this year. Where did this information come from? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 200.76.189.223 (talk • contribs) 02:50, 11 June 2006 (UTC).

[edit] Don't Add Rubbish Information! -Adri K.-
I saw someone added information that Buffon and Ibrahimovic (he wrote 'Ibraimovic') will join Milan. He added those two names at the bottom of 'In' list in transfer section. I've deleted it.
And then I saw the words 'Rossoneri' in first paragraph was changed into 'shevgarchenkos'. I've changed it into 'Rossoneri'. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Adri K. (talk • contribs) 02:08, 3 August 2006 (UTC).
[edit] Possible
Who the hell is behind the 'Possible' in transfer section...? The informations there is rubbish... that's just an extremely minor speculation which will not be fit in an encyclopedia. Adri K. 14:38, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
I agree with you, many of that players are most likely impossible to come to AC Milan. --Tiago Heitor 21:32, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Squad number & youth players
Should youth players which granted squad numbers add into squad?[1]. And source of 06/07 squad numbers ? Matt86hk talk 04:12, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Amoroso
Amoroso still need to play Tim TROPHY, why listed on transfer list? Matt86hk talk 04:12, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Youth Team
Where is George Weah jr., Matteo Ardemagni ? Matt86hk talk 16:57, 15 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] List of Famous Former Players
The list should be alphabatized by players' last names. The way it is set up now, they are listed by country, then alphabatized, but the way the countries are listed follows no rhyme or reason.~~Kane 7/10/06
[edit] Jose Altafini
Altafini played for both Brazil and Italy. I'm not sure with nationality placement in 'Famous Players' section, but both Edgar Davids and Clarence Seedorf have two flags, Holland and Suriname. --Adri K. 16:20, 8 August 2006 (UTC)Adri K.
No, that's not my point. What I was trying to ask is: Edgar Davids and Clarence Seedorf, both from Suriname. They have never played for Suriname, but they still have two flags. Jose Altafini played for both Brazil and Italy, but he only have one flag.
What I was trying to explain: could we add that Brazil flag so Altafini will also have two flags?Adri K. 03:52, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The game against Red Star Belgrade is on August 9 not 8.

Milan won 1-0 (I added that, and also added that the two teams will be playing again August 22 in Belgrade)-Rapini —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.29.211.160 (talk • contribs) 22:14, 10 August 2006 UTC.
[edit] Removed content
Someone (User:71.106.170.106 Talk) removed the section about supporter [2] . Should add back into the page? Matt86hk talk 07:53, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with the removal; and seeing as how there is no "documentation" here as to why the removal was good, I'll forward the following: The content is very opinionated and lacks justification (i.e. citation from a respectable source). If the original author of that section thinks its significant enough to warrant inclusion, they should bring up some backing evidence. akuyumeTC 02:51, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- That's about football culture. Neither Inter or Milan fans denies about that, is part of their history. Now, what do you want? a table about the percentages of left wing fans in the team? How do you get documentation about that?... by the people who lived it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bauta (talk • contribs) 00:27, 3 November 2006 UTC.
- Info about supporters were true (and can be verified on the Italian wikipedia). However, it would be better to add a supporters section like the ones of english clubs (e.g. Manchester Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea). – Luxic 16:56, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Supporters
I'm not exactly sure about the removal of that section because the information are quite relative. However everyone need to know about that, so the Supporters section must be restored.--Adri K. 16:23, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
Whoa... innecesary information?. I'm sure the one who made that deletion has never put a foot on a stadium and it's a "TV fan". Every club page should have information about what the members of that club like or why they feel that on their teams. It's valuable information for the true football fan who likes to know about real and important history of the clubs, aside of wich famous player played there. The restore of that info is necessary for the football culture. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bauta (talk • contribs) 00:50, 18 October 2006 UTC.
It should be put back on because it's a important part about the club! without the fans sport would be nothing —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Hajduk-9 (talk • contribs) 07:21, 5 November 2006.
Milan is not 3rd but 2nd in number of club supporters in Italy as erroneous stated in the main wikipedia Milan page
There's a big mistake guys!!! Everybody knows that the supporters of milan are the second of italy as quantity!
As written in a more recent article (august 2007) of La Repubblica, and as already written in an other article of Wikipedia (associazione calcio milan), the supporters of ac milan are more than the inter ones.
Here is what is written in the wikipedia article:
—Preceding unsigned comment added by Chicco82 (talk • contribs) 15:13, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Team Colours Wrong
The home shorts are black they are only usually white to prevent a kit clash (on derby day for example)
Should this be changed ? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.111.66.43 (talk) 17:37, 7 April 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Milan lost a cup match in 1992
Milan didn't go the whole season 1991-92 without losing a match. They didn't lose in the League, but they lost in the Cup against Juventus. I just checked in the RSSSF Archive. 80.2.208.247 20:46, 9 April 2007 (UTC) Mark
Milan 0-0 Arsenal good game
[edit] Image added just after the final whistle of the Champions League Semi Final 2nd Leg
I have removed this image from the article, and placed it in here for now. Partly because the image does not show Kaka actually scoring against Manchester United as stated in the comment. Also, the image was added not long after the final whistle, which seems rather quick to take a photo at the match and get it on here.♦Tangerines BFC ♦·Talk 22:54, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

- Indeed, yes, and well found!! I notice the image is already listed for deletion. The user who added it seems to have a habit of adding copyrighted infringed images. What is the point? ♦Tangerines BFC ♦·Talk 01:26, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Presidents
Why have a list of them, link them and write nothing about them. Are they really of interest to anyone? Berlesconi and Alfred Edwards aside do we need to have any more there? 86.149.209.189 16:48, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

Image:AC Milan.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

[edit] Marzoratti
if he is co-owned with Empoli, why is he still in the "players out on loan" list?

[edit] A.C. Milan 2007-08 seasn
Help me update this, A.C. Milan 2007-08. I'm trying to make it look like Chelsea F.C. 2007-2008 and also change A.C. Milan 2006-07 to look like Chelsea F.C. 2007-2008, thanks! DP08 07:00, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
- Much better to keep it as it is. The Chelsea 2007-08 article is a kind of mess I would rather not to see here, and Wikipedia is not an almanac. --Angelo 20:33, 16 August 2007 (UTC) Ronaldo injury more serius then expectid. But surgery went just fine!!
[edit] Retired numbers
The "retired numbers" section appears twice. One of them should be deleted, in my opinion. I didn't proceed because it's a semi-protected and I wanted some consensous btw. What do you think?Nineko 01:11, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- It was clearly redundant... so I removed it from the records section. — Luxic 10:37, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] What a mess
How come this article was reviewed for featured article status? Its an absolute mess compared to all the other Serie A article. I'm gonna clean it up a bit. - Soprani 20:28, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- It's been reviewed a long time ago following a request by a huge AC Milan fan, and unanimously rejected. This article has actually worsened with time following an improvement I made some time ago. You can use the Italian version (which is a featured article) to improve it. --Angelo 20:33, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] First team youth members
The players in the first team who came fromt eh youth sqaud should be included in the squad list. --Muppeteer (talk) 20:49, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] grammar, plurality
This page has some grammatical problems. The most obvious one, to me, is the change in plurality of “AC Milan.” Personally, I would say the term is singular, but it is often given plural verbs. Maybe there’s an inconsistency with American/European spellings, but regardless it should at least be consistent. For example:
"Associazione Calcio Milan… is an Italian professional football club…. AC Milan have won 18 officially recognised international titles… The club have won what is today known as the UEFA Champions League on seven occasions… AC Milan is the second most successful club with 17 league titles; only Juventus have won more (27)."
I tried to fix this problem a few weeks ago but the article was reverted within the day, so obviously someone disagrees with me. Please explain yourself.Panda bearx (talk) 06:59, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Luca Antonini
Guys, I've added this myself as this is CONFIRMED. Luca Antonini is going back to Milan from loan from Empoli. I came back and there it is deleted. I kindly request YOU LOOK AT THE EVIDENCE I provided to back this claim.
