[edit] On this...

Hey, thanks for replacing my crude usage of the reference markup with a proper cite template. Is there any page on Wikipedia which lists down all the ways to use the cite template? -- Altiris Helios Exeunt 00:26, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Yes, WP:Citation templates has a full list of the "cite" examples. It does note that the use of Citation templates is not required by WP:CITE and is neither encouraged nor discouraged by any other Wikipedia citation guidelines. They may be used at the discretion of individual editors... Some editors find them helpful, while other editors find them annoying.., although I personally find that it looks more professional when it is used (if a bit complicated to remember all the different parts that can be included!) I hope that this helps! MelicansMatkin (talk) 01:02, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Jennifer Hale on Freelancer

Hi Exeunt, it has been a long time. Regarding Jennifer Hale, I appreciate you bringing her work into context in this article. Yes, it does look pithy bad when she gets "various jobs" credited to her instead of a specific work. However I am a little bit underwhelmed by her supporting role in a cartoon (though a popular show then) when compared to the other voice actors in the article. Is there any other pre-2003 job where she had a major role, was heavily praised for, or was a major show? If not, we can just leave The Powerpuff Girls in. Jappalang (talk) 11:09, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Ah, the Metroid Prime series. Perfect since she is the English voice actor for the protaganist, and it is a popular game so as to speak. Best of all, it fits into the context ( Freelancer => video game <= Metroid Prime ). Only niggle would be how much speech there is... but I think that is negligible. I will link it to Metroid (series) since it is the topic which encompass Metroid Prime just like how Rhy-Davies get credited for Indiana Jones films. Thank you! Jappalang (talk) 09:29, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
Every contribution helps. :-) Even a single reference can polish up an article to its fullest potential. Jappalang (talk) 09:41, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
Eh, am I missing something here? Her article (which I presume came from or is synced with IMDb's) credits here with the Metroid Prime series, not the entire Metroid series. Did they mistook something? Jappalang (talk) 10:04, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
Well, the entire series is Metroid, but I think we need to make a distinction between the early Metroid (which Hale had no part in) and the Metroid Prime (which Hale voiced) series, even though both are classified under the first. Jappalang (talk) 10:51, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: On Archiving...

Thanks for the advice, I will read it again when time comes to archive it, but wow, the page you showed me is in a huge mess. I will prevent my talk page from being in such a mess. TheBlazikenMaster (talk) 11:03, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

In spite of your brevity, one reference on Style seems helpful & useful. I'll try to digest it soon. But why you sent me to Trademarks I don't know (haven't violated the law on that to my knowledge). Cheers, Wikipedian. --Ludvikus (talk) 20:52, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

It's for this exchange:
    As per this...
Hey there, JPG. I'm just curious, but what was the reason given for the move request at WP:RM?
    -- Altiris Helios Exeunt 16:49, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
    Take your pick - MOS:TM, WP:ACCESS, precedent from Doom 3 and Alien 3. JPG-GR (talk) 16:52, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
I think both of you were helpful. Should I have also thanked your college above? It led to a satisfactory resolution. Thanxs again! (to both of you!) --Ludvikus (talk)

[edit] Final Solution

As you seem the only one up so early (6:15PM NYC) I wonder if you could give us a couple of seconds of your time? I've been heavily copy-editing the above - editing out it's second-language English of our immigrant or "over there" speakers and writers. I've pretty much completed my 2 cents worth now at the opening of the article. However, I haven't had the patience to deal with the 2 footnotes/references which are still messed up. I believe it should take 2 seconds of your time to fix it. You'll immediately recognize the syntax error(s). Thanks, as I'm off to get my coffee . . . Hmmmm ...! (Good to read your "Hmmm" too, fellow Wikipedian). --Ludvikus (talk) 10:30, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Heard wonderful things about the technological advancement & development of your country (Singapor) - seems to me like Israel but w/o the ethnic, religious, and nationist struggles & strife! --Ludvikus (talk) 12:57, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Jewish Peril

I've requested a WP:Move in the above: → The Jewish Peril (uncontroversial), but I'm not sure I followed the rules correctly. If you could check on that, and advise accordingly, I'd appreciate it much. --Ludvikus (talk) 13:02, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] May (Pokemon)

Stop sending such amateurish sandbox etc. messages. There is no limitation on what fancruft can contain and I have put the cleanup tags on the article. I have't reverted as your edit summary style shows that we're close to warring. But the article is going to be merged anyway. Ultra! 14:49, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:ProfessorBirch.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:ProfessorBirch.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 01:21, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] FPC I'd Like Help With

I was just wondering if you wouldn't mind going to Portal:James Bond. I'd really appreciate any criticisms or support that you could provide for this Featured portal candidate. Thanks. Ultra! 20:41, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] IP addr.

Comcast never reassigns IPs unless the outward MAC addr. changes. The comment that it resolved to that as of [...] means that was the last time someone checked the rDNS. 68.39.174.238 (talk) 16:44, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
