[edit] May 2007
Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. An article you recently created, Lawrence Earnshaw, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new articles, so it will shortly be removed (if it hasn't been already). Please use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do and please read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. Lil' Dice (yeah, I said it!) - talk 00:31, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] See also
Hi there, congratulations on your recent edits. I thought I would drop a note saying that it is not usual practice to add links in a See also section that are already referenced (and linked) in the main body of the article. In Transformer, for example, Ottó Bláthy, Nikola Tesla and Mikhail Dolivo-Dobrovolsky are all named and linked in the article's History section. Best regards, — BillC talk 09:47, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hi. Are you okay with me removing the links in the 'See also' section of Transformer that are already linked in the main body of the article? — BillC talk 10:05, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Oscilloscope. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Thank you. — Indon (reply) — 11:02, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image tagging for Image:Cossor Logo.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Cossor Logo.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] License tagging for Image:Cossor 339 Scope.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Cossor 339 Scope.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 23:08, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Benjamin Stuart Trevelyan Archer
I changed your edit of Hamstead > Hampstead back, as both sources were pretty clear on it being Hamstead, though I do see that it may be a mistake. Just thought I'd let you know.
One tip: Create a user page - some people will subject your edits to less scrutiny and see them in a better light. RHB - Talk 18:53, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Alvis fire-engine.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Alvis fire-engine.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 21:45, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/i/i/iigowise.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 21:42, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] medical orgs
Hi A. Carty -- I'm pleased as punch to see you cleaning out the medical organizations and sorting through the American medical associations. You might have useful opinions on a related "CFD" (categories for discussion) (12/4); basically I'm trying to organize the medical & health organizations together; then within that we will need professional associations, etc. Cheers, Lquilter (talk) 23:57, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hi -- you removed Category:Dental organizations from the Dental Laboratory Association. It's an organization to do with dentistry; is there a problem? --Lquilter (talk) 20:35, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
Hello Lquilter, did you mean Dental Laboratories Association ? Because it's a British professional body I thought it should just be listed under British dental organisations. However if you are of a different opinion then by all means re-add the page to the category in question. Regards (A. Carty 22:51, 7 December 2007 (UTC))

[edit] WAGR locos
Hey it would be really good to try get a standard/template for various classes for the old WAGR locos (i do have better images than my xa B&W Jpeg somewhere) it would be good to have some consistency with other oz states articles for similar arts -what do you think? SatuSuro 12:48, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] also
I would be reluctant to place every class as they existed to a see also to a history of wa rail transport - it would be better to have either a list of the histroic classes that could be the main link - rather than the main history article - otherwise it will end up a real mess SatuSuro 12:53, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
Trying to start a list first - fumbling with it a bit - my x class photos will be delayed - i am interstate from ym home at the moment SatuSuro 13:04, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
The new south wales article has a template for current running rolling stock - not sure what the other states have to allow for discontinued scrapped locos and rollign stock SatuSuro 13:06, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Info box

[edit] talk page
Hi :) If you don't intend to have the uploaded items from August-September restored, you're free to remove the notices from your talk page... I realise most people don't know they're allowed to :) If you want them restored and have the source details to meet WP:NFCC, let me know. Orderinchaos 14:57, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Brian Wilde
This image is of Mr Barraclough, not Wilde, and is not a free image. Accordingly, it's a breach of fair-use policy to use it in the infobox, and it has to stay outside. Thanks. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 22:02, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
