A1 Televizion is a private television station in Albania with a concentration in economic/business news. Recently A1 is trying to attract a broader audience through shows such as Papparazzi and Hienat. It is also the only station with purely economic TV shows like A1 Biznes and Kapital. It has a Bloomberg-like format, with scrolling news and business quotes. News is updated in real-time 24 hours a day. Since January[year needed] A1 television has started airing movies and it probably has the latest and most famous movies of any public television in Albania, although it rarely advertises the fact, to comply with its 'new channel' image.[original research?]As of December 13, 2007 KESH cut the electricity supply to the channel's studios for defects in KESH's measurement apparatuses. As of January 29, 2008 the channel ceased to broadcast for 17 days on gas powered generators and went off the air. On February 15, 2008 it returned on air.
