The A1 Team Malaysia is the Malaysian team of A1 Grand Prix, an international racing series.

A1 Team Malaysia is operated by A1 Team (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. The seat holder and fanchise holding company is A1 Grand Prix (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. of which Alex Yoong and Jack Cunningham, a Briton, are directors and shareholders. Yoong is also the competing driver in the series. Fairuz Fauzy, a Malaysian GP2 Series racer is the other nominated driver of A1 Team Malaysia.
During the test session at Silverstone Circuit on August 2006, A1 Team Malaysia has tested two young drivers, they are Aaron Lim and Nik Iruwan[1].
A1 Team Malaysia set to debut Aaron Lim for the Rookie sessions in Mexico race while Fairuz Fauzy concentrate on his test driver role with Spyker F1. He will join regular driver, Alex Yoong, and will take part in two 25 minute Rookie sessions on Friday morning of the race weekend. He will also participate in these sessions at the remaining two events in Shanghai, China and Brands Hatch, UK.

A1 Team Malaysia had finish in 5th overall, with 1 win at Shanghai sprint race and 2 second places in Sentul and Shanghai, both in feature race.
[edit] Season 2006-07 results
At the Czech Republic A1 Grand Prix of Nations, Team Malaysia won the Sprint Race giving them Pole Position for the Feature Race. Driver Alex Yoong went on to win the Feature Race, gaining the fastest lap in the process, meaning Team Malaysia came away with maximum points. They also won the Sprint Race in Mexico, but a problem with the car meant that they only finish 5th in the Feature race.
