A-kuei (Chinese: 阿貴) is a popular Taiwanese webtoon character whose carefree personality and off-beat adventures have won him fans in Taiwan, the Chinese mainland and Japan. The series is created by Chang Jung-kuei and it first debuted in 1999. A-kuei is so popular that he's been featured in best-selling books, VCDs, music albums, and even starred in a film, which scored about $200,000 at the box office and on the Internet. A-Kuei was selected as one of Asia's heroes by Time Asia magazine. [1]
