[edit] Description

The missile can either be guided by a laser or by semi-active millimeter wavelength radar homing. Radar homing is the preferred technique, allowing fully automatic engagement. The missile is long and thin and is spun in flight. Propulsion is by way of two rockets on the side of the missile. A window on the rear of the missile enables its laser beam following. The missile is supersonic, flying at an average speed of 400 m/s. It is currently only launched from the 9P157-2 tank destroyer, based on the BMP-3 chassis. The system was accepted into service in 2004.
