The 8th Floor [1] is an improvisational comedy group that was founded late in 2004 at The Ohio State University. The name of the group comes from the fact that many of the founding members lived together on the eighth floor of their residence hall, during their freshman year (2002-2003) at The Ohio State University. The group began performing regularly at the Drexel Gateway movie theater in May of 2006. The group has been featured in the Ohio State University paper (The Lantern), Columbus Alive, The Other Paper, and also in one of Archie Griffin's weekly alumni commentaries. Recently the group has traveled the country, attending and performing at competitions and festivals, from Michigan to California.
