8bit, The problem with the page is that it doesn't explain why the artist is noteworthy (as you do in your note to me!). Try adding some of his album titles, magazine reviews, etc. You want to be able to distinguish, from the article, this person from the thousands of amateur musicians who give themselves WP pages.
