8 Ball Aitken is an Australian country musician who is notable for his fusion of country music with the genres of Australian blues, folk, and roots music. [1]He achieved Grand Finalist status in Toyota Star Maker at the 2008 Tamworth Country Music Festival. [2]
Aitken is the founder of the Grass Roots Music Festival, funded as a special project by Brisbane's Lord Mayor Campbell Newman. [3]
8 Ball Aitken is also the coordinator and founder of the annual Roots By The River music industry conference, also held each year in Brisbane, Queensland. [4]
