8969 Alexandrinus (1218 T-2) is a Main-belt Asteroid discovered on 29 September 1973 by Cornelis Johannes van Houten and Ingrid van Houten-Groeneveld. It is named for the Kentish Plover, Charadrius alexandrinus.
