Your version of the italian Army ranks is pure nonsense. The maresciallo d'italia doesn't exist any more and its badge has never been the ridiculous one you insist on. Also there is no more generale d'armata in Italy. Both ranks were abolished in 1947. From 1947 to 1997 the highst rank was generale di corpo d'armata con incarichi speciali, and then, with the reform of the defence staff, a new full four star general was created again and called generale, and not generale d'armata. A maresciallo d'italia doesn't exist any more, and above all the patch of the marshall never looked like the one in your version. That is simply ridiculous. Until 1947 the maresciallo d'italia had 4 stripes/stars and that is because the Lt.Gen. (Generale di Corpo d'Armata) had 2 stripes and a crown, and the Generale d'Armata had 3 stars/stripes, the maresciallo d'italia had 4 stripes/stars and the primo maresciallo d'italia (mussolini and the king) hat the greca (general's ornament) in a double version. In other words, if you don't have the slightest knowledge about those things, please don't insist on things that are totally wrong. If you wish, you can check these things on the website of the italian ministry of defence. -- 66.201.183.66 17:07, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
