Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites that you are affiliated with, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. [edit] Please do not add TradeDoubler, Deal Group or other spam links
Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Broadband. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks.
We asked you nicely not to add links like these.
For the record:
[edit] Deal Group Media: "UK Broadband Guide" and "Broadband Essentials"
Visitors to UK Broadband Guide clicking any of the external links to broadband providers are passed through www.s2d6.com, registered to "Deal Group DGM Platform" [1] [2]
Visitors to Broadband Essentials.co.uk are also passed through s2d6.com (Deal Group) when clicking external links.
Deal Group Media describes its lines of business as advertising, search engine optimisation, and affiliate marketing. None of these have a place on Wikipedia -- ever.
[edit] TradeDoubler: "Online DVD Rental"
Visitors to Online DVD Rental clicking any of the external links to DVD rental companies are passed through clkuk.tradedoubler.com, the large Internet marketing company
TradeDoubler describes itself:
- Company vision "To be the preferred partner driving profitability through online marketing"
- Company mission: "TradeDoubler creates profitable partnerships with major advertisers, publishers and agencies based on its proprietary technology and comprehensive knowledge within online marketing."
Once again, something that has no place on Wikipedia.

[edit] Your edit to Credit card
Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Credit card. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. --Crocodile Punter 13:04, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

This is your only warning. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Credit card, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing their websites from appearing on Wikipedia and other sites that use the MediaWiki spam blacklist at all. Replacing a link so that the title remains the same while leading to an unintended url is considered a form of vandalism and is a violation of Wikipedia policy: diff. Nposs 16:07, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
