To be fair, I definately think your edit was good faith. The flip side, however, is that original research is not appropriate for Wikipedia. Adolph Schickelgruber my very well be a stand-in name for Adolph Hitler, but unless there is a citable reference to that end, it isn't fit for addition to the article. Thank you for your edit!
