[edit] Re your note

Perhaps the issue for you is 'whose choice', but on my user page I'm afraid I shall apply my own assessment of the core issues. I'm sorry to be blunt about that.

I'm sorry that you feel the way you do. However, Wikipedia is not the place to "fight ... on behalf of children today" - it is a place to build an encyclopaedia from a neutral point of view.

Incidentally, you cannot cite a Wikipedia user page (Wikipedia itself is not considered a reliable source, and we must cite other sources instead). You might wish to revert your latest edit. Jakew 19:20, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

I'm sorry that you disagree with my interpretation, but I stand by it. I think it perfectly reasonable to feed spinach to children, but because I also think it reasonable to not feed children spinach, I think it reasonable to describe myself as basically neutral on that subject.
As for Wikipedia, there is a difference between having a point of view and editing Wikipedia to reflect that point of view. It is unreasonable to ask an editor to refrain from having opinions, but it is perfectly reasonable to ask him or her to refrain from using Wikipedia to promote those opinions, as policy requires. Your analogy works equally well, and for the sake of argument I would agree that you were neutral on the subject of feeding excrement to children. The point is not my view of the subject, but yours, so any preconceived notions of my own are beside the point. Jakew 11:24, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
