In short, no one here is denying the influence of synth pop, it is dealt with quite explicitly in the main body of the text. Please do not revert the text again without first establishing a consensus opinion on the matter. Semitransgenic (talk) 01:34, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] dubstep
i agree that the article still needs some work (i've been working on it since last summer, but sadly don't have much time lately), but i also think that the influence of 2step stuff like horsepower or steve gurley is undeniable (just look at the tracklist of roots of dubstep on tempa), so it deserves inclusion in the infobox. if you feel like making some constructive edits to the article feel free to, i'm not its gatekeeper (bad dubstep pun :P). but please be mindful of WP:N, WP:NOR, and WP:NPOV, which are core tenets of wiki. --Kaini (talk) 21:57, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] thugstep
first of all, please remain civil. secondly, the thugstep article has already been removed once as non-notable. therefore, it doesn't deserve mention in the dubstep article either. i would suggest that you don't recreate the thugstep article without asserting notability unless you want to get on the wrong side of an admin. --Kaini (talk) 17:34, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

- the AfD says it better than I can: 'This music "genre" appears to lack any reliable sources. All of the citations are either to unreliable sources (blogs/non-peer reviewed content) or to websites that do not explicitly mention "thugstep". Editors are welcome to google for themselves, but the limited results are not encouraging.' --Kaini (talk) 17:39, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- I've said once, i say it again - if you don like thugstep that's you bizness. If you think that quite a range of refenreces to web-pages stays it non-notable you are welcome to tell it to admin for it to be deleted. -- 82.209.225.33 (talk) 13:04, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

- Don't worry, the message didn't come from Jayson but was one left by an IP impersonating him and issuing fake warnings. The IP in question has now been blocked. Happy editing. BencherliteTalk 07:59, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
