Hi, I rolled back your change to "BC" from "BCE" for dates in the article Perfection of Wisdom. BCE means "before common era," and replaces BC, which means "before Christ." The use of BCE is particularly appropriate here because this article concerns a non-Christian religion. Thank you for your efforts to improve Wikipedia. -Everyguy 16:58, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hey. I notice you reverted Denizz's change to İzmir. His edit restored the original era usage to BCE (either BC or BCE is OK according to Wikipedia policy). However, he preference of the first major editor should be adhered to. I've put it back to using BCE because this is how it was from the outset. I hope this is not too contentious. [edit] Welcome
Welcome
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
Here are some other hints and tips:
- I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
- When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.
If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my Talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. DenizTC 07:50, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
