There is no consensus for the changes your making to the Politics of Northern Ireland templates, there is a ongoing discussion so please don't edit war on this issue.--Padraig (talk) 15:16, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
That does not appear to be the case on the discussion that I have seen. What is your problem with the addition of the Royal Arms anyway?.
- My problem is that these templates and the images used have been stable for along time, the map image was created specialy for them as a neutral symbol, the Ulster Banner was used in the 1921-72 particulary because that was the most common symbol associated with the Unionist Government of that period. I have no problem with changes but this has to be agreed by discussion and consensus first, which is why I ask you to stop making changes without consensus being achieved. So can you please revert your edits so a discussion on this can take place.--Padraig (talk) 15:48, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Politics templates use coat of arms images, and thus the Royal Arms is used for Northern Ireland. Evidence has been provided that the political institutions of Northern Ireland are using the Royal Arms.
- I have refuted that evidence in the discussion ongoing, also you have failed to show where all politial templates use coat of arms, where is this ruling on Wikipedia.--Padraig (talk) 16:09, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
It would be inappropiate anyway, as coat of arms are used on politics templates. Also your statement that that symbol is used on Northern Irish Acts is wrong.
- All Documents produced by the Northern Ireland Assembly carry the Assembly Flax Symbol including Acts, only documents issued by Westminster council have the coat of arms as is common practice for Westminster, why do you think the Flax symbol was devised for in the first place, because it was a agreed symbol by all the Political parties involved in the Assembly.--Padraig (talk) 16:27, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
The Children (Emergency Protection Orders) Act (Northern Ireland)[1] It's there in black and white.

The Children Act your linked to was to repeal part of an existing Westminster Act from 1995, that required royal assent which is why it was sent to Westminster, I mean new Acts passed by the Assembly itself.--Padraig (talk) 16:50, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Why don't you go to [2], which lists all Acts of the Assembly ever passed and review all the Acts.
I also suggest you read this article, Northern Ireland Assembly to bring yourself up to speed with how politics works in Northern Ireland. The article states "Although the British monarch is not formally a component of the Assembly (as is the case at Westminster), all bills passed by the Assembly must receive the Royal Assent in order to become law. This is not a mere formality; if he or she believes that a bill violates the constitutional limitations on the powers of the Assembly the Secretary of State will refuse to submit the bill to the monarch for Assent. If submitted by the Secretary of State, the monarch will, by convention, sign a bill into law. Acts of the Northern Ireland Assembly begin with the enacting formula: "BE IT ENACTED by being passed by the Northern Ireland Assembly and assented to by Her Majesty as follows:".
