[edit] Unknown scale
Please review the changes I have made. This is not vandalism. I have highlighted that the images do not show any idea of scale. This is bad practice. It can not be seen what size the images are, for example are they 1 mm ac ross or 1 m across. Giving an idea of scale, such as a scale bar, is a fundamental requirement for scientific images. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.154.127.216 (talk) 23:22, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
- Once your block has exprired, I suggest creating an account, reviewing Wikipedia policies and guidelines and discussing your proposed changes to these articles. Adding "unknown scale" to so many articles in what appeared to be inappropriate places, and then putting them right back after they were reverted by other editors, looked like vandalism. Find out if the scale is truly 'unknown' or if there is good reason the scale isn't mentioned. Dreadstar † 23:28, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Admin abuse by Dreadstar
- I am disgusted by your actions. I made legimate and valid changes to a number of article only for you to stalk these changes and revert them. You clearly have no knowledge of geology, mineralogy or even basic scientific principles. It basic level practice that images are accompanied with an indication of scale, such as a scale bar. Without this information it is unknown if the object that is shown is, say 1 mm across or 10 m.
- Your reaction to my correcting your inappropriate reverts is to threaten me! This is far from helpful, and completely at odds to what Wikipedia claims to be. This is even worse considering that you are an administrator.
- You then accused me of being a sock puppet. This is wrong. A sock puppet, as you should surely know, is someone who tries to hid their identity. This is obviously wrong as although I posted from another IP address I acknowledged I was the same person.
- In the future please use you "powers" more responsibly. Otherwise you will drive away knowledgable editors, who are volunteering and giving freely of their own time and knowledge. Your actions risk damaging Wikipedia.
