Welcome to Wikipedia. No, this was a false positive - reverted and reported. 86.152.204.0 (talk) 15:39, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

"Please take a look at my edit which you undid at Independent film. Can you honestly say that those sections are anything other than unsourced, speculative original research and opinions?"

Actually, that's exactly what I said they were. Unsourced material is banned in wikipedia per WP:CITE. ALso articles must conform to a WP:NPOV and not contain "speculative original research and opinions".--RiverRubicon (talk) 15:42, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Also, please refrain from making personal attacks on userpages. If you think someone made a mistake, say so politely. --RiverRubicon (talk) 15:43, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Accidental reversion (response to talk page item)

Ah - sorry, I think the edit times were too close together. I thought you had made the unsoruced speculation since I clicked History before you had reverted it (and so you appeared as the top edit). I will make sure to check the page after reverting in future. I'm really sorry.--RiverRubicon (talk) 15:46, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Personal Attack

"Please tell me what I have said which constitutes a personal attack. Thanks. " I though the tone of: "Do NOT accuse users of being vandals when they make legitimate edits" sounded unpleasant, especially when I was fairly certain you were a vandal. However, now I see what actually happened and understand the misunderstanding, you were probably entirely justified in being annoyed on my page.

Again, I'm sorry - this is entirely my fault for not checking properly. Happy wiki-ing :-)--RiverRubicon (talk) 15:48, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Also I'd like to point out that the vandalism notice at the top of your page was not put there by me. If that was a false positive, I'd suggest removing that as that also contributed to me making an incorrect judgment about your user status. Not that that excuses me, but I'm human and so rely on precedents! Sorry sorry sorry. --RiverRubicon (talk) 15:50, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Hmm

I'm sorry you feel the need to leave WIkipedia as a result of this. I have tried to put things right and I can assure you these sorts of things are quite unusual. Especially by me!

Have you considered setting up an account? Anonymous edits get judged more harshly than account-based edits. Plus, it's quick and free. --RiverRubicon (talk) 15:53, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm sorry to see that this has occurred, this sort of thing is very unusual here, and we really would like you to stay and edit, also please get an account, it's by no means compulsory but it is advised, thanks. Harland1 (t/c) 16:03, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Thank you

Hi,

Thanks for your edits so far, and I hope you'll reconsider this decision to stop editing. User:RiverRubicon‎ and User:ClueBot made a mistake, but we all do that from time to time. I've misinterpreted legitimate edits as vandalism myself. Looking at the edit history of the last half hour or so, I can see what happened, and it was a cascade of well-intentioned errors that were all to your disadvantage. I urge you to accept his apology and continue with the help you've been giving us. --barneca (talk) 16:11, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

OK, Cluebot doesn't have a belly button, but RiverRubicon does. --barneca (talk) 16:20, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
