A couple of points: (1) Just because games have similar mechanics does not mean that they necessarily use discernably similar game engine layers. (2) Adaptations/ports of entire games are just that: they are basically derivatives of the entire game, rather than different top-layer content that uses a common engine layer. The one case where you are arguably correct involves Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, but bear in mind that game engines really weren't really a well-discussed concept in the 1980s. Please stop adding dubious game engine information without a reliable source. Please stop attempting to add image links, as you have done here. As you can tell, they do not work on Wikipedia.
