For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Please read our guidelines on external links which notes that "editors are restricted from linking to the following, without exception: Material that violates the copyrights of others". If other links break this rule, it does not give you the right to break the rule also. Regarding your addition to the etymology section, you wrote: "Frank Zappa...recorded a song called "Charva" in 1963 which predates by three decades the supposed earliest use of chav/charver". Yet, "charva" is a Romany word that was used substantially before 1963. Your edit contradicts the rest of the etymology section, is unsourced and thus constitutes original research which is not allowed on Wikipedia articles. Thanks, 00:59, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
