[edit] WP:FLAG
I do not have an obsession with the article; I maintain and watchlist over 200 other articles. Yes, WP:FLAG is Wikipedia policy. WP:FLAG explicitly states that flags should not be used as decorative items. That flag is being used as decoration on the infobox just because "it makes it look pretty". There really is no other reason other than "well then you know where he's from!" Ah, but that's what wikilinks are for. The last time I checked that article, there was a link to the Republic of China. Want to know more about the ROC? Click the link. The flag, on the other hand, does nothing. Just because "hundreds of articles" are using flags inappropriately doesn't make the practice right. If anything, we should be abiding by the policy and finding all these infoboxes so as to remove the flags. Pandacomics (talk) 01:43, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
