If you are autoblocked repeatedly, we encourage you to contact your Internet service provider or IT department and ask them to contact Wikimedia's XFF project about enabling X-Forwarded-For HTTP headers on their proxy servers so that our editing blocks will affect only the intended user.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider using a soft block with the template {{anonblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

The users with access to the Checkuser tool know to check for dynamic IPs. They would not mark you as confirmed unless they were certain you were the same person as Zippygup. I should note, however, that when contributions indicate a relation, even a "likely" checkuser result is often sufficent for a block. We call it the duck test - if you look like a sockpuppet, act like a sockpuppet, and talk like a sockpuppet, you're probably a sockpuppet, or at the very least a meatpuppet who is here for a single purpose. Checkuser evidence, due to privacy reasons, is not released except when required by law. I haven't seen it myself, as I am not a checkuser; I just looked at the contributions of you and Zippygup and agreed that the relation between you two was far too similar for mere coincidence. As for your IP, as I said before, continuing to evade your block will result in further action. Your block has been reviewed multiple times, enough that your user talk page is protected. Further appeals should be directed to the Arbitration Committee at arbcom-l AT lists DOT wikimedia DOT org. Hersfold (t/a/c) 17:22, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for your message on my user talk page. No need to apologize about the changing IP address- mine changes with each log in too. I did say that the appealing to the administrators' noticeboard was probably going to be futile. The next step, as Hersfold pointed out, is to email the Arbitration Committee- details on their mailing list can be found at WP:Arbitration Committee#Mailing list. However, as with the administrators' noticeboard, I wouldn't put money on your getting very far with your appeal. My advice from before stands, wait a couple or a few weeks for the hubbub to die down, then create a new account and start fresh. If you avoid any disruptive editing there shouldn't be any reason for anyone to check on you. That may technically be block evasion, but in my opinion it doesn't matter what you did in the past so long as you're contributing constructively now. Best wishes to you whatever you decide to do and again feel free to call on me for any further help or advice. —Elipongo (Talk contribs) 20:30, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
