Request reason: "I've been blocked for 6 months. I see this as incredibly harsh and unnecessarily over the top. This seems to be because I used this IP address for "sockpuppetting" (I didn't even know what this was earlier today). My account, Ln of x was blocked so I tried to edit when I was not logged in and it allowed me to. I had no idea I was commiting such a heinous crime, to which user : philippe seems to have massively overreracted, and now I've been blocked for 6 months !! This is frankly an absurd length of time. What have I done, chopped off someone's head ? I'd really appreciate it if this could be reviewed, and perhaps the block reduced to something of the order of magnitude of 48 hours. The reason my the account Ln of x was blocked was due to me putting back my edits (which had been justified at some length and had been there for several weeks) when a couple of other users persisted in deleting them Thank you."
Decline reason: "To be honest, all of your edits, with both of your accounts and this IP seem to be a combination of really odd commentary and simple vandalism. You were warned about this many times a given a series of short blocks and I can see no productive discussion of these problems; certainly nothing 'justified at length'. You then started editing anonymously and with a sock. I really don't see any compelling reason to question this action. Kuru talk 22:31, 25 August 2007 (UTC)"
