[edit] Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Iopq

Hi. A WP:RFC isn't an "e-trial". On Wikipedia, that would be the Arbitration Committee, and nobody has suggested that such a procedure is necessary. The "Request for comment" is solely an attempt to get community input when some amount of disruption has taken place. Nothing bad is going to happen to User:Iopq, since the matter seems to be mostly settled now that there is good reason to believe that he wasn't directly responsible for anything more than some bad judgement about article creation and a small edit-war over its being deleted. In fact, the only thing that keeps a Request for comments open is if there is activity on the page. It'll be archived faster if there isn't any editing done to it. If your goal here is to put the whole incident into the past so that your friend is not distracted by it any further, leave the page alone and it will get archived for lack of activity. Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! -- Alf melmac 23:50, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
