- This was indeed a bot -- one that is on trial (SmeiraBot). I didn't know that, in order to log in on wikipedia as SmeiraBot, I needed to do a login.py -all before running my interwiki script -- my apologies for that (see discussion here; see also changes made by my SmeiraBot after I finally managed to log in correctly here).
