You recently edited the British National Party election results page to change the Barking 2005 result from 16.9% to 17.0%. In fact, the 16.9% is correct. I imagine you found the 17% on the Barking (UK Parliament constituency) page. I've checked the figures there and 17 is an error - the actual percentage is a touch under 16.9. I've corrected that and reverted your edit to BNP election results. Emeraude (talk) 10:46, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
If you view the BBC page here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/vote2005/html/25.stm it clearly states 17%. That's what I was going from. 83.67.41.128 (talk) 00:00, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
So it does. There is a discrepancy in the votes cast for Lib Dem (BBC says 3211 and Wikipedia 3411) which accounts for the differing total votes and hence percentage. I suspect the Wiki figure is wrong (because all the percentages match the BBC) but I'll check other sources and make appropriate alterations. Well spotted. Wikipedia was wrong. The electoral commission ([1]) confirms the BBC figures, so I will correct Wikipedia now. Once again, well spotted. Emeraude (talk) 13:34, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
