User talk:83.104.51.181

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I only ever use wikipedia to look up assignments to do stuff for homerwork's. Wikipedia is a free encylopedia so I'd like to use it hassle free please, so just get off my back.

Attention:

This IP address, 83.104.51.181, is registered to Demon Internet, and may be shared by multiple users. If the organization uses proxy servers or firewalls, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason, a message intended for one person may be received by another and a block may be shared by many. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases, you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism; if so, please see here.

If you are autoblocked repeatedly, we encourage you to contact your Internet service provider or IT department and ask them to contact Wikimedia's XFF project about enabling X-Forwarded-For HTTP headers on their proxy servers so that our editing blocks will affect only the intended user. Alternatively, you can list the IP at Wikipedia:WikiProject on XFFs.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider using a soft block with the template {{anonblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of vandalism from this address, abuse reports may be sent to your network administrator for further investigation.
IT staff who want to monitor vandalism from this IP address can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.

Two wrongs don't make a right as the saying goes.

You got all the messages back so what's the problem?

I need not be banned from Wikipidea editing unless I set out to delete 5 pages something i've not done.

Please, I think you've got the wrong user.

Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on the contributor; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you.

[edit] Thanks!

Thank you for the comments and feedback on my talk page. The reason I suggest signing up for an account is it I think that it is a good idea. I do not think less of editors who do not (as a matter a fact, many anonymous editors have enhanced my articles and it is much appreciated.) The unfortunate thing is there are just as many if not more anonymous editors who vandalize articles. I like to think that if all editors who vandalized started working on fixing articles how much better Wikipedia would be. And, I personally believe that signing up for an account can help with this process (Then again, it is only my beliefe. IF you have any more comments on my user page, feel free to leave them on my talk page. Chris Kreider 19:40, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

Another thing creating an account can do is "override" blocks, so-to-speak. In other words, if your IP has been vandalising, and you get blocked, if you've got an account, you can log in, request the "autoblock" be removed, and you can carry on editing, while your IP stays blocked. It also means you can vote at AfD, RfA and other polls. You also have the eligibility to possibly become an administrator one day. Think about it :) — Deon555talk 23:34, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Article talk pages

Welcome to Wikipedia! I am glad to see you are interested in discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Helen Flanagan are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. [edit] Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 10:08, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
