Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. [edit] Talk:Inland Empire (film)
Thanks for your interesting comments on this movie. We're not a review site, however, and comments on discussion pages should generally be directed at improving the article. --Anticipation of a New Lover's Arrival, The 13:09, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Black hole gets vandalized very frequently, mostly by unregistered editors. Hence it is semi-protected , meaning only registered editors can change it. This saves a lot of trouble repairing damage. If you want to be part of the Wikipedia project, I encourage you to register, which will allow you to edit such pages. Note that article talk pages should really be limited to discussion of improvements to the main article. All the best, Wwheaton (talk) 17:30, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Against the mainstream
In case you were wondering, Wikipedia is a mainstream encyclopedia. It gives the most weight to the mainstream understanding of the topics it discusses. While fringe theories are discussed on Wikipedia, it is always done with the understanding that any discussion of them must conform to the verifiable, reliable sources that deal with the topic which the fringe theory attempts to address. Therefore, we do not put global warming denialism on the same footing as the mainstream acceptance of the fact of global warming, we don't pretend that creationism and evolutionary theory are equally supported by the scientific evidence, and we don't entertain notions in articles about the scientific method that naturalism/materialism/reductionism is somehow an "atheistic faith". Those ideas are not mainstream and not supported by the best sources on these subjects. However, there are a variety of other wikis which will allow you to explore these topics from those perspectives. CreationWiki and Conservapedia come to mind.

This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
