[edit] UK Ministers' infoboxes

Please stop modifying the infoboxes of sitting UK cabinet ministers. The infoboxes as they are now are correct. --Philip Stevens (talk) 12:22, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Infoboxes

If you don't give any rationale for the edits you keep making to infoboxes (eg Healey's) they are likely to be reverted. -- roundhouse0 (talk) 11:59, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Guy Goma

Would you please state how you know Guy Goma's exact date of birth? Thankk you, Badagnani (talk) 18:54, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Ian Gilmour, Baron Gilmour of Craigmillar

Please don't add flags to show subjects' places of birth and death. Per WP:FLAG this practice is deprecated. On a common sense basis, it is difficult to see what this addition would add to the article. Thank you. --John (talk) 19:51, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Oh, and we don't use capitals in section headings. So we would have "Early life", not "Early Life", for example. --John (talk) 19:59, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] John Biffen

Please see my two messages to you above regarding formatting and the use of flag icons. --John (talk) 21:50, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. J.delanoygabsadds 17:57, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

I have just reviewed the last few dozen edits you made. Many of them introduced errors into articles which I had to correct. As I pointed out to you twice above, we do not use flag icons in infoboxes to show places of birth or death. Neither do we capitalise words other than proper nouns in section headings. I accept that your intentions are good, but you need to accept that our project works on consensus, and that it is important to follow agreements like this that the broader community has made if you wish to edit here. If you continue to introduce or restore errors to articles I will have to consider the net value of your contributions to the project to be negative and withdraw your editing privileges for a while. That would be a shame as I know you are trying to help. Please think seriously about this. Thank you. --John (talk) 18:36, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] UK Ministers' infoboxes

Please stop putting 'present' in term_end, this removes the incumbent banner from the box. --Philip Stevens (talk) 12:21, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
