When I started the article on the unfortunate Rector of Stiffkey, I was under the mistaken impression that he had been largely forgotten. You've found so much information on him that the article is coming to be one of the most comprehensive, and I just thought I should let you know that I appreciate it. I also wonder whether it is a possible Featured Article candidate? The Featured Articles are those one-in-a-thousand articles which exhibit Wikipedia's best work, and every day one of them is summarised on the Main Page as an example of the type of information in Wikipedia.
To get featured status, the article would need a bit of copyediting and organisation into smaller paragraphs. It would also be a great addition if we could get more images which are out of copyright or otherwise free for Wikipedia to display. Do you know if they can be found? Incidentally, you might want to think of creating an account on Wikipedia. You can have all your edits which are currently attributed to your IP address transferred to the account after you create it.
Anyhow, if you want to get in touch with me, click on the 'talk' tab and then on the '+' at the top of the page to leave me a message. David | Talk 01:00, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Abdel Hakim Amer
Please add your sources to the Abdel Hakim Amer article. You appear to be putting forward a theory about his death which is not the accepted one, so it should be separated from the rest of the article by adding a section header before it, and adding a reference. It may also pay to tone down the language a little bit; instead of saying that his normally accepted fate is a story and this is the truth, you could leave the original text and in your new section begin with "John Smith, in his 2005 biography of Abdel Hakim Amer, claimed that...".-gadfium 05:40, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
