[edit] Speedy delete tags
Not sure of the logic behind adding all those speedy delete tags - you have no provide no reason on any of the eight (nine?) you have added. I have removed them. If you feel that those articles should not exist you need to provide a policy based reason. --Charlesknight 21:34, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
Please stop adding deletion tags to articles without explanation, or you may be blocked for vandalism. Thank you, Dar-Ape 23:18, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
It's odd for a new user to go straight to CSD - I'm taking it that you are trying to WP:POINT ? However, assuming good faith, if you feel that those schools do not show notability then take it to AFD as there is no chance of those being taken out by a speedy delete, you are wasting your time adding such a tag - I think you will have a hard time convincing people that Columbine school, site of a world-famous event and mentioned in multiple notable sources should be deleted.... --Charlesknight 23:26, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
- I understand where you're coming from, but consider: First of all Columbine High School is certainly quite notable and deserves its own article. Yes, it is mostly notable because of the massacre, but Mark David Chapman is only notable for his assassination of Lennon. Association is important.
- However, more importantly, the proper way to effect deletion of these articles is by instigating a change in policy, not by tagging dozens of articles for speedy deletion. Please take a look at WP:CSD to see when speedy deletion tags are appropriate. Furthermore, speedy deletion tags are virtually never appropriate for established articles, as many of these were. Thanks, Dar-Ape 23:36, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Do not disrupt Wikipedia to illustrate a point
Please do not disrupt Wikipedia to illustrate a point, see WP:POINT. There is no chance of any of those articles being speedily deleted, and you are liable to get yourself blocked. Mr Stephen 23:26, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] about speedy tags
Just so there is no confusion - any editor can remove them not just an admin. YOU can then send each article to AFD if you want to follow the matter up. --Charlesknight 23:35, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Please sign your talk page posts
Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! You didn't sign at User talk:Charlesknight#Deletion. [edit] Columbine Senior High School
Well if you feel this article does not demonstrate notability, I suggest you AFD it. I'm sure the discussion will be "robust and interesting". --Charlesknight 23:47, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Have a read
Thanks for your message. The arguments about keeping/deleting schools have raged at Wikipedia for some time. They are currently at WP:SCHOOLS, and I suggest you try and convince people there, before launching into any mass-nominations. Mr Stephen 00:03, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
