[edit] Army image

Sorry, but that's a non-free image without a fair-use rational, while it may be fine to use it in the army article it's a no-go for the UK article. Please see Wikipedia:Image description page and Fair use. Thanks/wangi 23:43, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Clan Sweeney

Stop adding Suibne moccu Fir Thrí and Suibne mac Cináeda to the article, it doesn't help anything when you keep adding false or unsourced info. Suibne moccu Fir Thrí has nothing to do with the clan, and Suibne mac Cináeda is not the Suibne who is in Leabhar Clainne Suibhne, and he doesn't have anything to do with the article so far.

[edit] No Original Research

Making up history, or grafting Clan MacDougall history into this article just isn't going to work.

Cite a reference to these edits or they're not going in the article.

  • Clan MacSween and the MacDougalls successfully fought against Robert the Bruce and the Earl of Atholl at the Battle of Dalry in 1306
  • However the victorious Argyll clans were defeated two years later, when Bruce led an army against them. An ambush was set for them but after what became the savage Battle of Pass of Brander, the MacSweens and their allies were broken and forced to flee.

Also, it seems misleading to describe the John Mac Sween in the article as this Clan Chieftan, John MacSween, especeacily when you haven't provided a reliable source for it.--Celtus 02:12, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Hello random IP, when removing information from an article, it is important that you explain why you're removing it. In this case you removed information which was sourced for no apparent reason. On the plus side, you did use an edit summary, which is good, but please explain any future removal of material. Cheers, faithless (speak) 09:32, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
