[edit] April 2008

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Cureheads do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.   Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\bmyspace\.com' (link(s): http://www.myspace.com/thecureheads) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thorougly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creators copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest). Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! [edit] Advice

Hi. When inserting references into Wikipedia articles, please do not just quote other Wikipedia articles as sources (such as Mick Mercer). References are independent reliable external sources, such as BBC news websites, ESPN is another one. Basically any website which is not a blog or messageboard qualifies as a reference, but the more widely known and respected it is, the better. Please visit the Manual of Style to learn how to reference properly. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 20:03, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

And MySpace pages are not allowed in Wikipedia, by the way. Anyone could have constructed that, it's not reliable. Best wishes. Ref (chew)(do) 20:07, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Sign your talk page posts please!

Hi. By adding ~~~~ to the end of your post on talk pages and discussion points such as Articles for deletion, it adds your signature and the time automatically. This needs doing every time. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 20:15, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button Image:Signature_icon.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 20:20, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

I've told him/her. Ref (chew)(do) 20:34, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Me? Edit the French Wikipedia?

Hi. I wouldn't dream of editing the French Wikipedia. I don't speak French, so it would be pretty pointless. By the way, the French Wikipedia has the same guidelines and policies as the English Wikipedia. If this article were translated and included in the French version, it would get the same rough ride as the English one is suffering right now. I'm sorry you feel this way. Best wishes. OK I find sign button now. Thank you.--82.226.219.164 (talk) 21:53, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Well done. Yes, I did edit the page, to make the article look more like it should. I can't guarantee that it won't get deleted - I couldn't find any external references which will satisfy the notability claim.
I hope you will stick around in English Wikipedia and learn a bit more. We may sound angry, but we are only making sure that articles (and editors) follow the rules laid down. Thanks and best wishes again. Ref (chew)(do) 22:52, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
