From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

School IP address Attention:

This IP address, 82.198.250.74, is registered to London Grid for Learning (UK secondary schools) and may be shared by multiple users of an educational institution. In the case of institutions using proxy servers, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason a message intended for one person may be received by another. Similarly an innocent user may get blocked for another user's vandalism. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism, in which case please read our advice on this situation.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider a soft block with the template {{schoolblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of persistent vandalism from primary and secondary schools, anonymous editing may be disabled for up to 1 year at a time. Abuse reports may also be forwarded to your school administration for investigation in case of long-term abuse by registered users.
School staff who want to monitor vandalism from this IP address can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.
Note if blocking select "anonymous only" and allow account creation. This avoids/reduces collateral damage.

Talk page of this specific IP address

If you are an unregistered user operating from this address, note that this need not necessarily be the IP address of your machine. In many cases, it turns out to be the IP address of a proxy server that communicates between your browser and the Wikimedia servers. Such proxies are shared among a huge number of users compared to the number of persons using your particular machine. If you are frustrated by irrelevant comments appearing here, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself.

You have been temporarily blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. Please note that page blanking, addition of random text or spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, and repeated and blatant violation of WP:NPOV are considered vandalism. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may come back after the block expires. You may still edit this user talk page if you have any questions. Emo: Please do not add obscenities to Wikipedia, like you did in Emo. Injecting unnecessary swear words, racially or sexually abusive comments, or provocative pictures to articles or user pages offends many people. Wikipedia treats such actions as vandalism and blocks people from editing for such repeated vandalism. Tangotango 09:56, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

You have been blocked for a certain amount of time, as stated in the blocking policy for vandalism. To contest this block, add the text {{unblock}} on this page, along with an explanation of why you believe this block to be unjustified. An administrator will look over your reason and act accordingly.

Please do not erase warnings on this page. Doing so is also considered vandalism.
