Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but you may wish to create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits. For one thing, if you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.

In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}} before the question on your talk page. Again, welcome! Also, I have noticed recent edit to Franz Ferdinand (band), and the edit summary "It was number TWO you morons, stop fucking 'correcting' me. I wouldn't keep changing it if I didn't KNOW I was right." Firstly, I am requesting that you don't use such vulgar language, thank you very much; secondly, please address the matter on either the talk page (Talk:Franz Ferdinand (band), or on the appropriate editor's user talk page, and actually address the editor/IP, not just spurt out a comment as you did; and thirdly, if you feel that you are right, try to find some substantial evidence and references to back up your point. Thanks, and happy editing. Qwerty (talk) 03:28, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Monday Night Wars. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make any unconstructive edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant warnings.

[edit] Offensive language in edit summaries

You have already been requested politely not to use vulgar language. However, you have again used offensive language in an edit summary, this time in Wallace and Gromit. It is completely unnecessary, please pack it in; next time I will report you to administrators. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Halsteadk 15:04, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

Any further use of abusive or profane edit summaries will result in the blocking of your edit privileges. Please review Wikipedia's policies on civility and etiquette. If you have any questions, let me know. Caknuck 22:09, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
