[edit] Foggathorpe

I've just written a message to Nilfanion (who added that chunk above, and removed the words you added to the Foggathorpe article), as I think his response is rather inappropriate.

I wrote the original Foggathorpe article stub, based on information I found on websites that I've quoted on the page. I'm guessing you may have local knowledge, and that Nilfanion's words (like "nonsense" and "vandalism") may be incorrect and unjustified. If you know Foggathorpe, maybe you'd like to put a description of the place below (on this talk page), and I will amend the article.

Is the statement on the Hoseasons website completely wrong? ("The pretty local village, just 2 miles away, hosts a good selection of pubs and eateries, takeaways, a deli, bakers, butchers and two mini markets."), or are they referring to a different village? And when did the Foggathorpe Post Office close down?

Cheers. Euchiasmus 06:31, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Foggathorpe - thanks, my mistake

Prompted by your note on the Foggathorpe page, I've done some more investigation and have amended the article. Thanks for pointing out that it was wrong. I emailed Hoseasons, and their reply about the "pretty local village" referred to on their website says, "The Village we are talking about is Holme On Spalding Moor which is 2 miles away from Yellowtop. Yellowtop Is set in in the small town of Thoggathorpe" (sic)

Thanks again - Euchiasmus 05:35, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
