Your recent edit to Titanium (diff) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Wikipedia articles. - I'll re-revert it. The bot should recognize that as an admin I'm obviously not an issue. The bot's aren't perfect, but not to worry you won't be blocked. Thanks for reporting this behavior. Getting more data about when the bots don't recognize something correctly is very important so we can improve them. JoshuaZ 21:57, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- To expand a little further on what happened, you triggered the bot because you blanked the page. Now, you did so in good faith, because the only thing visible on the page was the juvenile vandalism, and so you removed it. Your chances of getting blocked for that are slim and none. You were being helpful, even if what you did was not the best way to handle the situation. And there are few if any times when blanking a page is the proper response to a situation, which is why the bot triggers on that action. 99% or more of the time a page is blanked, it is because of vandalism.
- The proper way of handling the vandalism you spotted would have been to find the most recent good version, and restore it. But that's a bit more advanced wiki-editing, and you did what you could to help the project.
- So in the end, welcome to the project, and please do not let this one little incident drive you off. :) - TexasAndroid 22:06, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
