[edit] Marc Wootton on Wikipedia

(re: diff) Wikipedia, ideally, should not be inconsistent. Either it shouldn't have comedian myspace links, or it should. So, if you don't mind, I've taken the liberty of removing myspace links from the other two articles that you showed me. In most cases, myspace and myspace blog links should not be on Wikipedia because of its guidelines on external links. Yes, they can be useful, but content on them can constantly change, and Wikipedia does not recommend

In addition, Wikipedia is not a repository of external links, so linking to both a myspace and an official website is pointless if both sites have similar content. An official website is more reliable that a myspace, so that link stays. If you have an questions or objections to this, you can participate in out a discussion on the talk page of the external link guideline at Wikipedia talk:External links#MySpace Ban revisited, regarding interpretation and application of that and other guidelines. As for the Chuckle Brothers edit, don't sweat it if you didn't vandalize that page. The editor above that warned you was an automated bot. It is possible that you're using a shared IP address (see {{sharedIP}}. GracenotesT § 23:17, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
