It would help if you'd specify which bit you're most interested in a reference for. As for 5HTP, it's fairly easy to show it raises blood 5HT levels. If you believe 5HT itself causes heart disease, that also has refs available. Will 5HTP then cause heart disease. Well I'm afraid that's original synthesis. Many people are afraid it will and I'm one of them. So far, nobody has claimed to see it. If they ever do, there will massive finger-pointing and shouting "I told you so, you idiot!"
