[edit] Help desk inquiry

Hi there! You don't need to know php to create an article. The only thing you will need to create or edit a Wikipedia article is good grammar, and a basic understanding of Wikipedia's Policies and guidelines, and wikimarkup, the language used in Wikipedia, which is quite easy to understand. Please check the Wikipedia:Notability guidelines to see if the subject you will be writing about complies with the guidelines.

I recommend reading some of Help:Creating an article, as this will help you alot.

Should you need any other help, do not hesitate to contact me by clicking [{{fullurl:User talk:Spebi|action=edit&section=new)) this link] and leaving a question, remembering to put "~~~~" at the end of your message - this will help other users and myself to determine who said what and when did they say it.

Good luck! +spebi ~ 07:52, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

To add to Spebi's response, if you are getting a message about php when you are trying to edit, it is possible that your preferences are set to use an external editor. Go to Special:Preferences, and under 'Editing' there will be a check box labelled 'Use external editor by default'. Make sure this box is unchecked, then try your edit again. The php message should stop coming up. Raven4x4x 07:57, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
