Please stop adding nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you were just trying to experiment, then use the sandbox instead. Thank you. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 08:04, 20 November 2005 (UTC)
Your edits to Darod and Hawiye are POV and will get reverted. Please add the information but leave out the political comments. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 12:12, 20 November 2005 (UTC)
- When editing, please make sure not to delete existing content. In this edit you deleted both the "References" and "External links" section, and this is not the first such occurrence. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 15:10, 21 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Hawiye & Darod
Please, before you make any more edits could you talk them over at Talk:Darod, Talk:Hawiye, User talk:Gyrofrog or User talk:CambridgeBayWeather. Thanks. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 20:55, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
Could you please discuss what it is that you wish to do with these articles. At this time it looks as if you are trying to put forward a particular point of view rather than work towards a neutral article. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 13:40, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
Greetings, You edited Hawiye in such a way that it looks like Human Rights Watch said something that they did not. I added that reference because of the lack of reliable numbers regarding the sizes of Somali clans. If you have better information then please cite your source(s). Thank you, -- Gyrofrog (talk) 15:50, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
- Your edits are removing existing wiki links and formatting. This is in addition to your replacement of information that cites its sources with statements that do not cite any references. The references I found have conflicting data, and this is why I cited both. I have asked that the pages be protected from further edits, since it seems you can't or won't discuss this with anyone, in spite of several requests to do so. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 19:30, 26 November 2005 (UTC)

- I had hoped that your temporary block might cause you to read the comments here and engage one of us in a discussion. I have once again reverted your edits to Darod. The Report of the Somalia Commission of Inquiry says that Darod is the largest clan. You changed this to "third largest" and then "second largest", while the report says neither of these. If you have specific information about the size of the various clans, then please cite your reference(s), do not misquote the existing references. Also, the Hunt source gives 1200 CE as the date for Arab migration to the Somali coast. You had repeatedly changed this to 1800 CE and now you've changed it to 1700 CE. If the cited source is wrong, then what is the correct date, and what is your source? -- Gyrofrog (talk) 04:00, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

- Once again, would you please discuss your edits at Talk:Darod? -- Gyrofrog (talk) 18:32, 14 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Blanking
Blanking pages is vandalism and can get you blocked. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 22:24, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Reverts
Please do not keep undoing other people's edits without discussing them first. This is considered impolite and unproductive. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert an article to a previous version more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 00:18, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] 3RR violation
I have blocked you for 48 hours for excessive revert warring on the Hawiye article. Please read and understand WP:3RR. Nandesuka 02:51, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
- I suspect this editor is now using another IP address, thus evading the 48 hour block. See Category:Wikipedia:Suspected sockpuppets of 80.217.152.161. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 21:09, 1 December 2005 (UTC)

Re: Saaxil. Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! -- Gyrofrog (talk) 17:59, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
By the way, would you please add your response to the request for comment? -- Gyrofrog (talk) 18:16, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked
I am blocking this address for 48 hours because the user continues to make disruptive edits, and can not or will not address the numerous concerns listed on this talk page. I hope that the user will spend his or her time becoming more familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines (for example: not blanking articles such as Habr Gidr, and not modifying other people's comments, as with Talk:Hawiye). After the block expires, hopefully the user will respond to this Request for Comment regarding previous activities. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 03:29, 2 February 2006 (UTC)

Would you please cite a reference for the population numbers you added to the Hawiye article? Thank you, -- Gyrofrog (talk) 22:06, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
- Please do not remove the {{fact}} tag until after you have cited your source(s). Thanks, -- Gyrofrog (talk) 23:08, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Removing content
Please stop removing the references from the Hawiye article. If you disagree with these verifiable sources then please cite some other sources. Better yet, why not discuss your proposed changes at Talk:Hawiye, or respond to this request for comment? If you will not discuss these changes then your edits will be considered disruptive, and you may be blocked again. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 15:24, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
