Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Newcomers help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I noticed you are known only as an IP address; that means you are not signed up. To sign up, you only need to click Create account and choose a username and password. You don't need to provide any personal information. If you sign up, you'll have a username that others can use to recognize you and leave you messages on the wiki. You'll be able to sign your name just by typing four tildes (~~~~) when you leave someone else a message. Plus, you (and others) will easily be able to see a list of all your contributions to Wikipedia.

If you have any questions, see the help pages, ask at the Village pump, or feel free to ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!

You're a tiny bit late, and i'm intentionally not using an account, but thanks :) -- De Zeurkous (root@lichee.nichten.info), Wed Jun 7 00:11:12 UTC 2006

[edit] An Automated Message from HagermanBot

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! HagermanBot 11:23, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Auto-signing bot

Hello! I noticed your complaint over at User talk:Hagerman. Your problem is not due to a malfunction, but due to that you sign your posts manually and not by writing four tildes (~~~~). The best way to escape this would probably be to register an account instead of editing anonymously and then sign with four tildes, sign with four tildes anyways (revealing your ip adress, which is whatever the case still visible through the page history), or simply stop HagermanBot for signing comments made by you. Good luck, and tell me if you need help with anything! Jobjörn (Talk ° contribs) 18:24, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

If you have reviewed my user page, you know that I'm not trying to edit anonymously, but simply too lazy to log in every time I want to make an edit from a different machine or browser. As a kludge, I'll opt out of the "service" the bot provides, but I still consider this detection method to be flawed --De Zeurkous (zeurkous@zeurcomp.nichten.info), Sunday January 28 19:34 UTC 2007
